Description

Bucks County Drug & Alcohol Commission, Inc. (BCDAC, Inc.) is participating in the PA State Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, Prevention Needs Assessment Process. The outcome of this process is to “…provide (our county) with quantitative and qualitative data…to allow (our county) to target specific needs, assess and maximize current resources, and strengthen the prevention infrastructure in the areas most needed.” A core team has been working over the last several months to gather data and demographic information, and to identify problem areas based on risk and protective factors as they relate to youth and adult substance use in Bucks County.

We have identified your agency as a sector within the community that could provide valuable input, feedback and direction for this process based on your knowledge/insight about problem areas for youth and adults in Bucks County. We are hosting three Community Conversations for this effort. These meetings will help us gain a greater understanding and perspective about high-risk consumption behaviors and consequences associated with substance use, as understood by healthcare, human services and other professionals.

Light refreshments will be available at 8:30 a.m., the meeting will start promptly at 9:00 a.m. and go until 11:30 a.m.
